"Yellow Sunset on Snow Aspens"; is part of a painting series I started a some 20 years ago and continue making today. These 48” x 60” paintings were part of a theme of America and the west. (They were about the American west, before the arrival of the whites.). This is a large picture that dominates a room with a sense of calm.
The subject is seductive with its mix of the white trees on white snow on intense winter skies. There’s something magic about them, these quiet trees that never make a sound but somehow fill the eye and soul with delight.
